Change & having a soft grip

Today you know more than you did yesterday and far more than you did at this point last year. Think about the amount of new experiences encountered, challenges you’ve overcome and lessons learnt during the last 12 months.  The experience you gain every day puts you ahead of the person you were yesterday and this will continue.  You will become more awesome.  You have a lot to look forward to.  I hope you can handle it.

It is important to be able to adapt as we live in an ever changing world and our ability to learn to use a credit card, laptop, smart phone or new software is of paramount importance as without the skills to pick up on these evolutions in the way the world works we would be left behind, less employable, less efficient and less able to be the best we can be.

I know that change is a core part of life and have worked very hard to embrace change in all aspects of the business and the processes that guide me.  The answer is not to build a digital product to launch or a set of strict rules to live by.  It is to build a digital product to learn, as fast as possible, to eliminate wastage of time and money.

Just like us humans, in order for a digital product to perform and be the best it can be, your website, voice experience or app needs to have a clear understanding of what it’s purpose is, why it exists, what it should be delivering and to who.  These metrics should be constantly measured and evaluated and the product constantly updated to make sure that its role in the world is being satisfied, optimised and AMPLIFIED.

You will never be finished, you will only gain experience and be better equipped to deal with the changing world around us.

I like to hold my convictions and current world understanding with a soft grip, knowing that when the world changes, so must I.
