Reflecting on last year I didn’t see as many sunsets as I’d like. I’ve always felt that to be a very special time of the day and an opportune moment to hold a meaningful conversation.
I wanted to build in a routine to get closer to sunsets and the best places to see them. If I could build out this habit I felt it could serve me well for the rest of my life and possibly act as a force for good for those around me.
Thursday’s are a transitionary time in my weeks where the meat of the working week has been completed and by sunset on Thursday I’ll be ready to sit down for a pleasurable chat. I see this as a jewel in my calendar every week, no matter what’s going on, a moment to look forward to and as a bonus I stay in tune with the changing seasons, positions of our star and I’m finding loads of new sunset spots!
Looking forward I have hopes this can be an idea we can amplify as a force of good. The concept is applicable for everyone on the planet, Thursdays and sunsets happen to all of us and are universal.
I’ve set up an instagram account @thursdaysunsets (feel free to follow along, please send in your sunsets and conversational notes. Here’s the first post that explains the concept:
Here to share conversations and pictures of the sunsets that accompany them. DM your Thursday Sunset pic and conversation notes and we will post and @ you. Occasional events. Send us your best sunset spots and we’ll see you there 😎
